新聞及び放送業界での女性の参画状況をみると、平成 28（2016）年における全従業員に占める女性の 割合は、新聞・通信社等 16.8％、民間放送 21.9％、日本放送協会 16.2％となっている。各種メディ アにおける女性の割合は増加の傾向にある。
