健康診断受診率を年齢階級別にみると、いずれの年代でも女性の割合は男性を下回っており、特に 「25～34 歳」「35～44 歳」「45～54 歳」で開きが大きく、その差は 10 ポイントを超えている。 受診した健康診断等の種類については、男女ともに 64 歳以下では「勤め先等が実施した健診」が、 65 歳以上では「市区町村が実施した健診」が最も多くなっている。
