○ 島しょの道路は、円錐形の急峻な地形上を通っているため、火山噴火災害等によ り、斜面崩壊、落石、降灰等による災害を受けやすい。これらの道路がひとたび被 災した場合、災害時の緊急避難や応急物資の輸送に支障をきたすことになる。 ○ このため、予防対策として、コンクリート擁壁、ブロック積、法面防護工等を行 い、被害の防止に努める。
